Our Design Philosophy

Atelier and Annex is a design studio and considered stay by Georgie.  Rooted in heritage and guided by modern sensibility.  From bespoke interiors to The Annex - a retreat within The Old School - each space reflects Georgie's refined approach to craftmanship, texture, and timeless design.  Thoughtful, layered, and quietly luxurious, Atelier and Annex explores the intersection of style and soul - where every detail is curated, and every space feels like home.

    Our Expertise

    Atelier and Annex is informed by a lifelong instinct for interiors, refined through a hands-on hospitality experience and formal training at the KLC School of Design.  From an early spatial experimentation to the transformation of a family- owned hotel, Georgie brings a balanced approach to design - where beauty, function and atmosphere exist in quiet harmony.

    Our Process

    Our process is intuitive and collaborative.  We take time to absorb each space, allowing its character and the clients needs to guide a considered, layered design response. 

    Our Services

    Atelier & Annex offers a considered interior design service, alongside bespoke one-off projects.

    Georgie's approach is rooted in an understanding of space, proportion and ergonomics. Working with what is already there, she considers how a room can be refined through layout, furniture, light and the placement of objects and art.


    From kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces to individual rooms requiring a more considered approach, each project is shaped around the way the space is used.


    Attention is given to layout, flow and function - reworking existing furniture, repositioning pieces and refining the relationship between objects and space.  The aim is to create interiors that feel balanced, practical and at ease with changes that can evolve naturally over time.
